Barron Solomon
Clever. Creative. Connected. These words best describe who Barron Solomon has become along his pathway to success. Barron draws energy from being with people, making connections, and using his creative talents as a catalyst, bringing ideas to life. A motivated entrepreneur, Barron Solomon is driven by excellence in every venture he pursues as evidenced throughout his career journey.
A MAN OF CHARACTER
Growing up, Barron’s family was a major influence on the paths he would choose into adulthood. The oldest of four sons, Barron and his brothers were inspired by their parents’ ambition to use their musical talents to encourage others and their father’s entrepreneurial spirit as an attorney. The family traveled together, performing in front of various audiences, which fueled his artistic nature and ultimately his pursuit of acting.
When the family moved to Franklin, Tennessee during Barron’s high school years, Barron quenched his creative thirsts by getting involved in acting classes. He carried that love for the dramatic arts with him to college, attending the University of Tennessee and traveling with an acting troupe in the summers. Barron eventually set his sights on Hollywood and made the trek to Los Angeles to explore professional acting opportunities. He spent some time learning the ins and outs of show business, adjusting to life as an actor, and eventually realized that making a living of acting didn’t give him the same fulfillment as the art itself. So, after living for brief seasons in Birmingham, Tallahassee, Nashville, and eventually back to Franklin, Barron’s business career began.
A MAN OF MOTIVATION
As Barron made the transition into the business world, he was given the opportunity to serve at an IT consulting company, where he was only the 5th player on the team. As a small business, Barron was able to learn the ropes of a startup, as well as the entrepreneurial process, and ended up helping the business grow to 65 employees. While traveling all over the country, Barron’s motivation was fueled by helping people build companies. His clever and keen sense for business development and growth eventually drew him to an interest in the blockchain and a new opportunity in email security sales.
Barron was compelled to start his own company. Upon merging this venture with a security practice, he met his now business partner, Tillman Holloway. This friendship led to multiple conversations about Tillman’s business ideas and their shared interests—culminating in the establishment of D.I. Pathways. Through D.I. Pathways, Barron is excited about bringing products and services into the future that can make a huge impact on energy consumption and the effects we’re having on the planet. Even more, he is proud that D.I. Pathways can do that without the commitment of long-term contracts for its customers.
Barron currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He loves to play golf, explore Nashville’s ever-evolving hot spots with friends, and generally be out and about making connections and building relationships. Barron is involved with Nashville nonprofit, The Phoenix Club. His interest in and knowledge of the growing trends of blockchain and cryptocurrency also led him to help create and launch The Register—the world’s first brick-and-mortar social club where members can make purchases and off-market investments with cryptocurrency.
Connor O'Neill
Growing up in the thick of an extended family that all owned multiple construction companies, Connor O’Neill’s entrepreneurial path began at a very young age. With a strong work ethic and a driven sales perspective, Connor’s enthusiasm for excellence is contagious.
A BUSINESSMAN FROM THE START
Hailing from Vancouver, Washington, Connor’s experience in sales began during his childhood. Exposed to a variety of sales environments while clearing snow, mowing lawns, and washing cars, Connor ultimately landed a gig working for a prestigious golf resort. It was this experience where he developed a passion for providing great hospitality to resort guests.
Connor is fiercely passionate about the game of golf, he won a state championship title and moved to Kansas City, Missouri to pursue a golf scholarship at William Jewell College. Connor graduated and quickly took a sales position for an IT consulting company. It was in this role that Connor attributes his love for doing sales right and helping customers find their pathway to the right products/solutions for their businesses.
A BUSINESSMAN FOR LIFE
After concluding his career in IT consulting, Connor found his way to D.I. Pathways, where his charge is to facilitate opportunities for businesses to utilize the D.I. Pathways program and the innovative products provided through the program. Connor immediately connected with the D.I. Pathways mission and vision, which perfectly aligned with what he was looking for in a new role. Connor believes that the opportunity to help D.I. Pathways grow, provide solutions for new customers, and spread the word about the multiple benefits of phase change material will be a worthy challenge. He has also been impacted by the visionary leadership of D.I. Pathways principals Barron Solomon and Tillman Holloway and credits them as the biggest reason he chose to come on board.
Tillman Holloway
Dreamer. Disruptive. Determined. These three descriptors only touch the surface of characterizing Tillman Holloway. As far back as his childhood, Tillman has been a creator of his own path, always looking for solutions to fix broken things and bring new ideas to life. An All-American athlete, an entrepreneur, and a true visionary leader, Tillman’s story keeps you in suspense of the next chapter.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
Post college, as team captain and All-American offensive line guard for the University of Texas football team, Tillman was poised to be drafted into the NFL’s third round. He was signed by an agent in Memphis and made the move to Nashville for training at the country’s first NFL combine training facility. It was during this training season that Tillman awoke one day to realize that a career in the NFL was not something he wanted to pursue.
At the age of 23, Tillman came out of the shadows as he decided to take a huge career gamble and buy a construction business. Though he had never been in the business nor swung a hammer, he did have in his corner a brother-in-law who owned a successful construction business model for Black Bear Construction Services. Tillman followed this model and expanded the business by opening a Nashville office. Gaining a wide reach of knowledge and network perspective in this role, Tillman helped lead the company to become one of largest demo companies in the Southeast. In 2008, Tillman decided to leave the industry, as he felt he had reached his capacity in his role.
THE ENERGY-EFFICIENCY EXPERT
Tillman’s entrepreneurial spirit wasn’t quenched, though. His next move was working alongside his father on an energy-efficiency company, developing relationships and program strategies around energy-efficiency equipment. After securing a partnership with a A.M. BEST A+ rated insurance company, Tillman helped develop a first of its kind energy-efficiency savings policy, which was written and bound on commercial paper and led to big deals with companies of the likes of Electrolux. As the largest energy renovation that had ever been accomplished, Tillman then began binding energy coverage for municipal groups.
With the establishment of D.I. Pathways, Tillman has conquered the goal of providing a no-risk route to energy-efficient product procurement and energy system upgrades through a monthly utilization agreement model. His interest in and knowledge of the growing trends of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and crypto-mining led him to draw upon his insurance and energy-engineering capabilities expertise to help lower the cost of cryptocurrency production, since the heaviest cost for crypto-mining is the electricity involved in its production. This knowledge led him to also create and launch The Register—the world’s first brick-and-mortar social club where members can make purchases and off-market investment opportunities with cryptocurrency.
